  4. a couple, a pair, a duo = 2
  5. a trio, a hat-trick = 3 (a trio is usually 3 people, a hat-trick is 3 successes in a row, especially in sport)
  6. a century = 100 (100 runs in cricket or 100 years)
  7. a quartet = 4 (a group of four people, especially musicians)
  8. a quintet = 5 (a group of five people, especially musicians)
  9. a dozen = 12
  10. half a dozen = 6
  11. a baker's dozen = 13
  12. a gross = 144 (12 dozen)
  13. an ace = 1 (on a playing card, for example, the ace of hearts)
  14. a ream = 500 (500 sheets of paper)

A baker's dozen is an interesting phrase. There are many possible stories about why we say this but this one seems the most likely. In the past, bakers had to meet certain requirements and if they failed, they could be made to pay a fine. To avoid the penalty they included one extra to be sure to meet the minimum weight.
